As the sun rose over the Phou Khao Khouay National Bio-Diversity Conservation Area, tourists began to arrive in droves, eager to explore the lush, tropical landscape. The area is known for its incredible biodiversity, with over 2,000 species of plants, and an abundance of wildlife.

The first thing to do is to take a canoe ride along the river, where visitors can spot the rare, endangered Siamese Crocodiles, as well as numerous species of birds and reptiles. After the canoe ride, visitors can explore the rainforest by taking a guided tour. Here, they can witness the incredible biodiversity of the area, and learn more about the local flora and fauna.

After the tour, visitors can hike the trails that lead to the top of Phou Khao Khouay. From the top, they can observe the stunning views of the area and its wildlife. There are also some great opportunities for bird watching and wildlife photography in the area.

In addition to hiking and wildlife watching, there are also some great activities for visitors to enjoy. For the more adventurous, there is rock climbing, trekking, and mountain biking. For the more leisurely-inclined, there are picnic spots and swimming opportunities in some of the cooler parts of the forest.

Finally, visitors can enjoy some of the local cultural activities. There are many traditional Laotian restaurants and markets in the area, offering a range of local delicacies. Additionally, visitors can watch traditional Laotian dance performances, or take part in a traditional cooking class.

Phou Khao Khouay National Bio-Diversity Conservation Area offers something for everyone, and is the perfect place to explore and discover the abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes of Laos.
